Gina Timme has joined Room at the Inn as our volunteer coordinator.
Gina is responsible for the recruitment, orientation/training and ongoing management of individual and group volunteers, night site volunteers, and students.
“I am positively overwhelmed by the service of volunteers and the impact they can make on an organization,” Gina shared. “Our volunteers are our greatest asset, and I’m here to advocate for them. Please know that whether it’s two or 2,000 hours you donate, we are extremely thankful for your time!”
Previously, Gina was the volunteer services manager for the Alzheimer’s Association, where she oversaw a volunteer program of nearly 1,700 volunteers for the St. Louis Chapter, reaching 38 counties. She was recognized for making significant enhancements on the existing volunteer program by strengthening, standardizing and growing the volunteer base.
Gina received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri – St. Louis but discovered her true passion of nonprofit management and service organizations through her own volunteer experiences and dedication to other charities. She received her chancellor’s certificate in volunteer management from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and currently serves on the board for the Metropolitan Volunteer Management Association (MVMA).
She and her husband, Dennis, live in O’Fallon, Missouri, along with their three teenagers: twins Hanna and Shane, age 14, and daughter Kailyn, age 17.
Gina is eager to meet all of the volunteers who have committed their time and talent to Room at the Inn over the years. Feel free to contact her with questions or volunteer opportunities at firstname.lastname@example.org or 314-209-9198, ext. 111.
